  5. WIN31.ZIP contains a listing of Applications written for Microsoft Windows 3.0
  6. that run differently under Microsoft Windows 3.1.  Customers considering 
  7. purchasing Windows 3.1 can view this list to make sure that their Windows 
  8. applications will run correctly under Windows 3.1.

  10. Instructions
  11. ------------
  12. WIN31.ZIP contains three files:
  13.    README.TXT (this file)
  14.    APPS.HLP
  15.    WINHELP.EXE
  16.  
  17. APPS.HLP is a Windows 3.1 help file that lists the Windows 3.0 applications
  18. that run differently under Windows 3.1.  You will have to use the WINHELP.EXE
  19. that is contained in WIN31.ZIP to view APPS.HLP.

  21. To view APPS.HLP:
  22.  
  23. 1. Copy the APPS.HLP and WINHELP.EXE files in WIN31.ZIP to a directory on 
  24.    your hard disk (DO NOT copy them into your windows subdirectory).  
  25.  
  26. 2. From the Windows Program Manager, choose the File.Run (ALT F R) command 
  27.    and enter the following in the text box:

  29.            path\WINHELP.EXE path\APPS.HLP
  30.  
  31.    where 'path' is the pathname to WINHELP.EXE and APPS.HLP files 
  32.    from WIN31.ZIP.
